This is my first time really working with a WordPress installation and I tried to make a small site built around getting people to sign up for AssociatedContent, a site that pays you for articles you write.

Newbie Writer’s Guild

I've got AdSense for Content on the right-hand bar in two places then one bigger one in the middle rolling with the content. There's some random writing-based articles that I pulled from ArticleCity there too. I didn't spend a shitload of time on this, was more concerned with learning about Wordpress, but yeah... any suggestions/comments/omfg-you-suck-at-lifes? :anon.sml:

Not bad at all for your first site buddy..good theme the ads are blended well..throw in a plugin for meta tags and it should be good

I would move the two adsense blocks in your right-hand bar and hide them within the links of your "Important Articles" and "The Essentials" sections. Also, use a bigger vertical adsense block to display more ads. That way, your visitors will think that all of these links are from you, not adsense.

The mid section of the page is more important than the content on the sides imho. Try to make use of it.

Remember, add more, more, and more content. Great start though.

Good luck

I'd swap the left Firefox ad with the adsense panel (both on top). It's the first thing the reader sees and the adsense should convert better.

Nice blending, btw. Also, the post title seem too small. It looks like a regular link.
