Need Hosting Recommendation

I'm interested in hosting a Wordpress free online gaming site.
I'm currently hosted in HostGator and I'm not happy with them, too many tweaks with WP.

I'm not interested in VPS, but would like to hear about other options for hosting WP.

What is the probem with VPS ? You are currently on shared hosting right with hostgator ?

Then the best recommendation is to move to VPS from rackspace.com or any other company which you find good.

I've used host excellence for a number of years and like them for shared hosting. Nothing really special about them but they have been reliable enough. Probably tons of cheaper alternatives out there.

Wordpress is bad for huge site. I advice you to use W3 cache plugin some thing like that. It decrease load on hosting server.
