Need serious help ... CJ bullshit ..

i just emailed them and basically said like ...

"i don't know wtf ur directions mean, i'm not using incentiviced traffic, im just advertising on facebook.. blah blah blah .. and thats it, now i just have to wait to hear back from them

you seriously didn't do that did you?

You didn't read their email or the fucking thread where you posted for help. It was clearly explained to you why in their email and then again by more than one member above.

You do not own Facebook do you? If the answer to that is no, then you are considered "special" in the "incentive/special program" language that they detailed out for you. You are posting links on a site that you do not own....

...if you are using third party services and/or publishing links on third party sites (sites that you do not own or operate)...

If I had Matt's cell number I would call him so he could explain his HURRRR DURRRRR graph to you.

If you ask for help, atleast fucking read the responses.

That's a pretty standard email if you're a new publisher on certain offers.

It's already been said before, but they want to make sure you're not sending shitty traffic. Facebook is a 3rd party ad site, and your referral URL's are going to be basically the same as a lot of apps that run on FB based on incentivized traffic.

Explain to them your promotion methods, if you're using social ads you'll still show visitors from apps. If you're not running a facebook app awarding points to users for signing up to wtfe you'll be fine.

This is a huge thing when dealing with non-qualified leads on social media and they're going to send that same email to pretty much all new pubs who get a surge of traffic.

paying for traffic to CJ makes me insane...i hate their tracking delay...but sometimes the ROI is worth it.

Fuck CJ. If you find something that isn't worthless in there contact them directly. Advertisers hate CJ just as much as publishers... and with a 30% fee who can blame them.

Fuck you CJ. Piece of shit. You'd think that being one of the oldest "networks" on the internet they would have evolved past 1995 at some point.

^ They are doing what makes them money, and keeps affiliates and advertisers coming back. That's why they are one of the top grossing networks out there, and why GSI bought pepperjam and why ValueClick (net income in 2008 = $215,000,000.00) bought CJ.

In my opinion CJ works a lot better for banner ads on websites with high traffic than trying to direct link or build landing pages around. A lot of their terms are strict where you can't name the product, bid on it, put it in the url, but somehow are supposed to convince people to buy it.

Sounds to me like a simple case of explaining your method in the special/incentive website area of how you did your promotions and from there it's more up to the advertiser then CJ whether or not they prefer that traffic. That's my thoughts.
