Funny how no1 cares about the millions of black people oppressed and killed everyday. Post this if you're the brave 1% that doesn't care about celebrities.

Although initially committed to non-violent protest, in association with the South African Communist Party he co-founded the militant Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) in 1961, leading a bombing campaign against government targets. In 1962 he was arrested, convicted of sabotage and conspiracy to overthrow the government, and sentenced to life imprisonment in the Rivonia Trial.

It's also funny how black people don't care about the millions of my brain cells oppressed and killed each day! :(

Even I don't and I'm black!

Fun fact: his wife Winnie Mandela was a big fan of something known as necklacing, "the practice of summary execution and torture carried out by forcing a rubber tire, filled with petrol, around a victim's chest and arms, and setting it on fire. The victim may take up to 20 minutes to die, suffering severe burns in the process."

While Nelson was in prison, she had many of her enemies and even several young children murdered in this fashion.

Awesome dude by any standards. Spent 27 years in a shithole prison but that didnt break him. He OPPOSED violent action after seeing that it wasn't going to make situations better. Other blacks were pissed of at him for not choosing to off the whites who treated them like shit for a long time. When he got to be president he didnt cement his ass on the throne like that douche Mubarak in egypt ( 41 years?) .Say what you will but the world needs more guys like him. Selfless and resilient.
