Netflix Streaming Thread Pt.2

Alright, bitches. In no order. If I repeat what someone posted, that means it probably is good. Not including TV shows.

I saved two of my very favorites for last. I fucking loved these movies because I didn't expect much so I was very, very pleasantly surprised:

I may go through my watched list later and pick out some more 4 and 5 star picks but I definitely recommend all of the above.

These were pretty good too

Some of my favorites...

Buried
It follows an American contract worker (Paul Conrad) who is captured by Iraqi insurgents and buried alive. It's similar to 127 hours only they went balls to the wall and didn't use flashbacks/hallucinations to fill up time like 127 hours did. The movie is literally 1 hour and 35 minutes of Paul Conrad (played by Ryan Reynolds) trapped in a box. No flashbacks, no hallucinations, there is never another actor on the screen and somehow they pull it off and it ended up being really good.

The Man From Nowhere
Some Asian ex-operative that kicks a shit-ton of ass when some bad dudes kidnap his neighbor. For the kind of movie it is it's actually kind of slow for the first 2/3rds of the movie but the last 40 minutes are totally worth the wait. The big battle at the end trumps the Matrix lobby shootout.

Ip Man
Not exactly "under the radar" anymore, I loved this movie even though I don't typically like Kung Fu movies. Great choreography, great story, great production values. Just awesome all around. It makes you want to kick somebody's ass and then the mild mannered Ip Man goes and does it for you. (Pro tip: Ip Man 2 was not nearly as good, it just got ridiculous, don't go into that one thinking that you're going to get something as good as the first one).

Black Death
Sean Bean rocks the house as usual. It's also got the kid that played Jack in Pillars of the Earth (playing a really similar role to what he did there). One of my favorites on Netflix.

Iron Clad
Just brutal, gory, and fun. I don't typically like Paul Giotoamfoemato but this movie totally changed my opinion of him. Holy shit.

Daybreak (TV Show)
Way underrated. I haven't actually finished it yet but things have just been non-stop awesomesauce through the first 9 episodes. How did this show only make it one season?

Prison Break (TV Show)
If you somehow haven't seen this show yet, fix that. Season 1 is amazing. Things fall off a bit after that but it finishes strong and the ending was really good (compared to most shows that usually either go off the air with no resolution or have an ending that everyone hates).

Jeremiah (TV Show)
Interesting take on the future, 15 years after a disease wipes out all the adults in the world. Hokey acting at times, but a good show nonetheless.
