I get asked multiple times a week if I can help someone "with their website".
I was in a pub Monday and the landlord asked me what I did for a living. I made the standard "I run a digital marketing company" and the landlord asked me if I could help them to make a website for a couple of beers.
I say I'm too busy, and they think I'm a dick. Good times.
How I respond to those types of requests: "I actually don't build my own websites. I have a friend who does them for me, and he charges $1,000 per website. Would you like me to forward you his contact info?"
But I just say to most people that I run a "technology" company, or even I run an "AI" company. I've found when you describe it like that, usually people respond by asking me if I'm the next Mark Zuckerburg instead of asking me if I can design their website for them.
