How I respond to those types of requests: "I actually don't build my own websites. I have a friend who does them for me, and he charges $1,000 per website. Would you like me to forward you his contact info?"

But I just say to most people that I run a "technology" company, or even I run an "AI" company. I've found when you describe it like that, usually people respond by asking me if I'm the next Mark Zuckerburg instead of asking me if I can design their website for them.

Alternatively your "design team" is too busy. Or just recommend they use Mr Site. It sucks ass, but it'd suffice for a pub website.

Best way to deal with this is to think of something in forward and engage them with same amount of effort. I tell them yes, but I instruct them to write the content first and get a hosting account (it doesn't matter if you can do it in 5 minutes, it's just to let them kick the ball first). 95% of them never get back to me and I get to be the nice guy. To the other 5% who make the effort of doing something, actually turn out to be serious enough about doing business.

I've only ever had one guy actually do the initial work I told him to do before I helped him out. He ended up setting up a website that brings in $4k/month passively for himself.

Better yet though, he got me in on a deal that could make me very wealthy in the next 2-3 years. This is why I'm never averse to helping someone out if they are willing to put in some work upfront to show that they are serious.

I was going to leave a very detailed post and then decided fuck it because these pop up once a month. Stop saying you don't care what other people think because clearly you do if you were dumb enough to post an earnings screen shot on facebook. You shouldn't even be on facebook delete that shit.

But, why are you so dead set on being commended by the masses or getting all this attention you're trying so hard and failing at? Its really not complex...

If you want attention, show off... If that doesn't work... offer money. If that still doesn't work, then you either smell/or you're creepy OR you're just not showing off in the correct, self absorbed, balling on a budget way that you COULD BE doing. There may be an ebook on that somewhere, or just look at Shoemoney and others that want to be loud and want you to pay attention to them all the time and see how great they are and blah blah...

You can do it... But really... why the fuck would you want that kinda attention anyway? No thanks.
 
I don't really know why people would want fame. Yes, you get laid more/easily, but you're also setting yourself up for being attacked by every shit-kicker out there including the IRS, tabloid media and online lynchmobs (remember our own?). So stop being such a needy boy and start enjoying what you have. It really is because of validation seeking people like Ryan Eagle that the 'me me me me, please look at me me me' generation is flocking to AM in droves.

Btw, the way to get likes on Facebook isn't by posting income statements like some autistic poker grinder. It's by checking into expensive restaurants, posting pictures of your $100 tuesday bottle of wine, being tagged in pictures with hot hoes, going to museums or plays in London, Paris and New York. I thought this was common knowledge?

Yes I am, but I do so in a way to hope to inspire others to continue to succeed, not to mention myself. I try to put the most enthusiasm in whatever I do, but I know a lot of people aren't into the whole self motivation deal... (That's fine) For a long time I couldn't get into the right mindset myself, I never realized that in order to achieve your goals you have to look past all the bullshit, and tell yourself you are going to seize everyday, every morning. (Easier said, than done)

Honestly I don't want the attention, I was just trying to satisfy my curiosity. I was never in this position before, I didn't know what to expect; I try to take on the world as if there's always something you can learn from.. Years ago, I had nothing, and it snowballed to where I had just let myself down. I spent a lot of time trying to find that motivation I lost, and changing my mindset was one of the hardest things. And when I was finally successful for once at a much, much larger goal, I didn't know how to approach it. But at least now even I know..

In short. I don't want people to be attracted to me, I just want people to find inspiration in themselves.. So they can have the same attitude I have. I know that's not how the world works, but for me it feels better to give than to get.
