so I signed up for yahoo search marketing last week with a $25 coupon.

Today I go online and see the $50 coupon.

I'm so pissed and drunk that I immediately pick up the phone and call 1-866-yahoo-96. I promptly tell them that I think its "bad business" to run both coupons at the same time.

They decide to credit my account an extra $25, and apoligize to me.

Never underestimate the power of drunken anger.

This also worked with Direct Tv. I called them one day in a drunken rant, and told them I enjoyed their service, but Dish Network was going to give me a ton of crap for the same price, and they could stick their service up their butt holes.

They gave me an extra two receivers, dvr, and movie channels for the same price I was paying before (+ free installation)

Ha ha ha, call Yahoo yourself if you didn't get the $50
 


This happens on some websites too, they try to sell it to you for full price, but when you try to leave the site witout buying anything (closing the window) you get an alert box trying to give you the product for 50% off or whatever. Its a good technique to try and make those people into buyers that you would have otherwise lost.
 
I can't believe people spend the amount of time they do to get $25 bucks. Its not even enough to fill a damn tank of gas now. Then they spend more time posting about it.

You could make 50x more by spending your time... uhh... actually using their service to make cash.

Hey ScottDaMan, if you were a poor redneck like me, you'd fight for every penny you can. I just spent 9 hours today busting my ass on a lobster boat for only a bushel of lobster, and I only make 20% on that.

We don't do manual labor here at WF.

You're absolutely right Southern maine is considered "outta state" where I'm from. If there's three lanes on the interstate, it ain't Maine.

Shit, I live on an Island off the coast so I'm not even in the same category as you. Nice to hear from a fellow Mainer though.
