Honda adds 440,000 cars to recall over airbags - CNN.com

An additional 440,000 Honda vehicles are being added to a recall initially announced in November to repair a potential defect in airbag inflation systems, American Honda Motor Co. said Friday.

It seems that new airbags are more likely to kill you especially if you are wearing your seat belt.

Thats why I always laugh at drivers who sit close to their steering wheel. When I drive I, I try and sit 2-3 feet away from it. Nothing like having an airbag explode in your face breaking your nose and burning your face off to get you to change your seating position when driving.

Hell if nothing else having your gut up on the wheel (I know my dad does it, but he's like 52 inch waist), even without an airbag is bound to have some serious hurt in a highway collision regardless of seatbelt. Probably break a rib or two doing that.
