New computers for the office - Suggestions???

Do they have to be laptops? What are you going to be using them for? If a non laptop is a possibility you might want to consider a Mac Mini. They will fit your budget , and give a lot of bang for the buck

Why laptops? They are for an office- does the "office" move? I could be wrong, but usually there is a premium for laptops and a trade off for lower performance and/or higher cost just for the portability. It depends on what you use it for. Personally I'm reluctant to spend more money for smaller and smaller tech products that really do less or provide some modicum of convenience that's a little redundant. I have every type of computer, but my main machines are desktops and they have always performed better and lasted longer for my main needs. But you aren't me.

Yes, why the laptops? do you want your employees to take the laptop home so they can work at home?

+392 on lenovo thinkpads by the way. Best keyboard, quality, and service all around.

I would have suggested Mac, as my primary laptop is a MBP, but I use Thinkpad for windows. I have a T420 now that I bought to replace my T60 as I didn't want it to die on me, but the T60 is also still working just like new.. Not even sure what they built the T 60s with. So in the long run, you are not overpaying for the Thinkpads.

Posting from my T420, not using tapatalk.

Don't be cheap, invest in your staff, and get them good equipment so they can do their job properly. Nobody wants to goto work, and sit behind a $600 piece of shit all day.

Another winner of a comment. You really are dumb.

Make sure they have an SSD unless you want to feel like you're still suck in the last decade

+1 for the SSD hard drives, we upgraded all of ours and it literally cut boot time in half and made them run like brand new systems.

This!

If you just need to do very basic things on them, do this 100%. also they are mad fun to tinker with.

Yeah, because I'm sure he wants his office environment computers to be DIY electronics projects that he has to tinker with  Maybe he can build them into Lego enclosures! Doesn't quite fulfill the laptop requirement, but hey, just ignore the OP's original criteria while you're making retarded suggestions.

well I was pretty much jking around because he didn't really state what he was gunna use them for. Some people simply dont know such a cheap computer exists. You could build a full basic computer for $150 ea.
