Has anyone noticed if new domains are behaving touchier then they have say last year?
This site has less then 500 links with some from simple bookmarks, about.me, Hobbs links ,some better blogs ect. Nothing extravagant. Even the 2.0s pointing at it have less then 100 links per 2.0.
The KW I would like to rank for, and did for a time is the one with 15% anchor, but brand and url makes up a large portion of the rest of them
This is how the main KW has behaved. For a brief time lately it came back up due to some very random anchors, click her, ect. I happened to use the KW once again on a small decent order and back down it went. When it plummets it stays at 170-180.
The day of the last animal update many of the terms I was tracking took a dive, and these were not backlinked at all.
Here is what the discovery looks like
Not much going on as far as linking
This is the same search term as the one I would really like, but it has word word in front of it. The long tail is actually made up of more competitive words in total, yet I rank for it? Ive never built 1 KW for this long tail. Think of it like bike riding, the long tail would be best bike riding places. Or something like that anyways.
I have gone through and reduced the occurrence of the search term on page but imagine a site about Doctors and try not to use the word Doctor. I believe it is anchor related but there really arnt that many KW's in total. I do have a 50% of pages banner on one of my other sites, which is directly related niche wise, but it is brand anchored which should be "ok". The brand uses 1 word for the frequent search term as well.
The site is only 6 months old or so-whenever April was, and I did have Flip running social on it for a few months when it was doing extremely well.
Advise would be appreciated, but other then that I will update this with some progress should I make any-for the better or worse
Although I am tempted to just let it age a bit without backlinking it, just adding more content to it.
