Yep, has worked for me. However, that doesn't mean they won't get disapproved again at a later time.
That's exactly happened. I set up an identical ad set to run in another country (it's a worldwide offer), and all were disapproved. It's hit and miss, like the whack a mole game.
I received an outreach letter from an exec there who wants to set me up with a business account, and implies that a layer of authority between the interns would help my approvals. I complained about all this at Affiliate Summit in August, and they're first getting back to me.
I got the e-mail about the whole TOS violation about a week ago. I e-mailed them and they kept not giving me a direct answer what was wrong so I kept asking until I got this:
Thanks for answering our email. We don't allow ads related to international dating sites, as some of them are related to matrimonial arrangements. As we cannot check the quality of the service we decided not to accept this kind of ads.
My guess is that the guy answering my e-mails just gut tired of making up reasons why my perfectly good ads nearly got me banned but it's still somewhat unsettling.
The Acct didn't get banned so I guess I got lucky.

i wouldnt do it... im still waiting to hear why i've been disabled... running same offers for 4 months... not dating, not pushing envelope.... I have ran dating and other offers previously aka over 6 months to a year ago... and have a feeling those may be the reason for my banning... i am not sure how it is my fault that I ran rebills, mobile, dating, etc... when it was within their TOS but since they change daily its my job to disapprove my own ads... and I deserve to be punished for dormant ads when ive been promoting perfectly legit ads spending xxxx a day but joes plumbing spending 40 dollars a day gets treated like a first class client and all affiliates are looked at as 2nd rate

My disapproved-approved-disapproved ads are now full approved once again. LOL Their response:
"I've made a note on the account to hopefully prevent this from happening again. I apologize for the inconvenience. I have now approved these ads."
Now my account is flagged, meaning I'm a special case. LOL
Further back in this thread it says the FB people are reading our comments. If so, how come they don't do a thing to improve things for advertisers? (This question is directed at them, and I don't really expect an answer.)

I had similar problems with the Spanish market.
Until I realized that my ad copy was asking a male demographic if they wanted to have little boyfriends.
Turns out the fuckers didn't.
I now hire professional translators...
It's so useful to be 100% fluent in English and French and have enough Spanish and Italian knowledge to be able to make my own translated landing pages.
I think about the days when I was 5 years old and embarassed that all my friends spoke English to their mom and I spoke French and think thank God she forced me to keep doing it, saves me on outsourcing now.
