NEW Facebook Ads

Seriously though...

How do you take that CPM column in FB and get an average of all the CPM's per ad? I tried copy/pasting into Excel to get an average and it's a mess as nothing lines up.

Anyone know an easier way?

Not sure if you are asking for a CPM per ad (which is shown on ad manager) or CPM across all ads (don't know why you'd want this since profitability per ad is what you want to track). Anyway, for avg. CPM across all ads just take:

Total spend/(All impressions/1000) = CPM

Plus you can export all the FB data to Excel, check out the reports option.

Wouldn't it be...(Total Spend / Impressions) *1000 = CPM

Anyway, thanks. I want to get an overview of each campaign in an Excel spreadsheet to see if the campaign is profitable or not. I'm guessing most people go by eCPC instead since that figure is in your network reports and there's no math to do...

thats the exact same formula, maths genius

Yeah, most people prefer the not-competely-fucking-crazy method.

the not-competely-fucking-crazy method + Prosper202 = W$N

Ah crap, nevermind. I must've typed in something wrong the first time to get those figures.

Campaigns that were giving me xx,xxx impressions/day are now down to xxx impressions/day.

I hope this is due to Xmas and a lack of available inventory for the time being only.

Oh, I get it now. They want me to keep paying their outrageous CPM bids, all the while not knowing that my campaign isn't even profitable.

Are you fucking serious? If you can't match up some VERY SIMPLE numbers, and figure out if an ad/campaign is successful or not, you got some major issues.

Maybe you have waaaaaay too many ads in each campaign.
