NEW Facebook Ads

If we're comparing dick sizes... :)

I am more impressed with initial bid getting traffic, not CTR, etc. :) And how well it converts, some international traffic do not convert at all even with 0.01 cpc :(

Do you let your ads run a few days before lowering your bids or just a few hours to keep getting impressions?

I started with the suggested bid, which was around 50 eurocents. I noticed the CTR was high after 15 minutes and paused the ad (I wanted to see the EPC first). The next day the suggested bid was 1 eurocent. I resumed the campaign for 12 hours and got those clicks.

like all said before - impressive CTR/CPC considering it's 4,5 mln demo. Well done sir! I managed to get similar CTR on 400k demo 2 weeks ago but my CPC never went down below 0.15c (and suggested bid was between 0.06-0.09).

So here is my question: You said that you "got those clicks" after you unpaused the ad. When exactly you changed your bid from 0.50 to 0.02? Was it before you unpaused the ad or jut after that?

thanks for clarification!

If think it doesn't really matter if it's just before or just after.

Before.
What difference does it make?

cool thanks! i guess it doesn't make any difference (never tested it though) but in my experience lowering bids on live ads (even to the suggested bid range) tend to lower number of impressions as well and the ad die much more quicker.

I'm in the process of launching my first non-english campaign using characters like š, á, and ý but keep getting the reply that my ad texts include invalid characters, surely these are alphanumerical characters? Anyone got any experience regarding foreign-language facebook ads as it would be greatly appreciated.

never had that problem with foreign languages, and I've submitted ads in everything from French and German to Polish, Turkish, Russian and even Arabic, where the text goes left to right.
Change the suspect characters one by one to find the one thats causing the issue. Possibly a facebook bug or something is being converted incorrectly somewhere.

I pasted the text from the preview window and it worked, I guess there was some invisible letter messing things up somewhere.
