New surroundings needed...

I'll be in a similar situation in about a year and I'm thinking Bahamas since there'd be no taxes for me (unlike the US, Switzerland isn't fucked up enough to have a tax system like the US where you have to pay even if you don't live in the US), I've heard great things and it's a shortish flight.

Basically, I'd get a free house from the tax savings in a very nice place.

Anyone live there and have some input?
 


isn't the starting home price in the Bahamas in a decent location around $1.4mm? And under threat of being completely underwater every year from storms? I know the infamous Joe Lewis is based out of there, along with many Brits who made a fortune back in the 70's and didn't want to pay UK taxes, but I would go either Southern or Western Caribbean.

Forgot to add that Portland also offers some incredible hiking and skiing in the Cascades Mtns. Here is a pic my buddy took a few days ago while climbing South Sister, OR. (10,000+ ft)

I have to say I keep going back to those Switzerland pics. That is simply amazing! Almost makes you want to go out there to hide funds!

"The maximum amount of marijuana for "personal use" under the new law is 5 grams—the equivalent of about four joints. The limit is a half gram for cocaine, the equivalent of about 4 "lines." For other drugs, the limits are 50 milligrams of heroin, 40 milligrams for methamphetamine and 0.015 milligrams for LSD."

Portugal decriminalized Drugs quite a while ago too. That strategy works MUCH better then the retarded DEA strategy.
Chances are if you must have a War on anything and it's not because someone is invading, it's a retarded idea to begin with.
