Is it better to target a niche such as 'Canon Products' or 'Canon digital camera'. It seems if you are using second-tier sites such as 7search if you narrow the niche too far you will not get any traffic at all.

Do you use typically use general niches or narrow it down? Or, just base this on traffic? Thanks.

Canon products is way too broad. You need to include the noun somewhere in the keyword. Adwords gets more traffic then 7search so you can be more specific and still getlots of traffic.

Can you clarify your question, please? Are you asking how to perform keyword research? or are you asking if Canon is a good niche?

Thanks!

I was just using Canon as an example.

I'm asking, when you select a niche, how far do you typically narrow it down?

Level1: Canon Products? Level2: Canon Digital Camera? Level3: Canon Powershot?

Are you talking about keywords for 2nd tier only? If so, you want to go general (not longtail) or else you won't get shit for traffic. If you are advertising on like adwords then yes you want to go more niche (longtail).

Yes thats what I'm asking. I've read through both those threads above already. I've been doing arbitrage succesfully for about a month now. I was more or less just wondering if you guys find that more general niches are more successful or if your more direct niches are more successful.

From my experience, the more general niches have been successful.

I have about 6 niches that perform well constantly, but I'm having problems getting over the hump.

I've been stuck at $10 profit a day for about a week and a half.
