Not an AffManager no more

Good luck Harvey. We don't always see eye to eye, but I am happy you are striking out on your own, and can experience the highs and lows of being a capitalist.

you were doing affiliate marketing on the side while being an affiliate manager? sorry if im wrong but if im correct isn't that kinda iffy?

I wouldn't want my AM doing affiliate marketing because hell he has access to a lot of data. Im sure it happens but don't companies have contracts that say you can't do affiliate marketing while your an AM? or at least not with the company you work for?

I dunno your not an AM anymore so more power to ya in the affiliate marketing game but the point im trying to make i guess is if i found out my AM was doing shit on the side I probably wouldn't be to happy knowing he can view all my sites.

If I found out my AM wasn't doing shit on the site, I probably wouldn't be too happy.

A lot of networks let their AM's do affiliate marketing on the side. Although some have restrictions like only allowing them to run on the content network (no search).

Harvey,
I'm sure with your skills you can hook up with another network in no time. Especially with the ASW around the corner, you should be walking out of there with a bunch of new contacts and possibilities. Best of luck!

Thanks for the well wishes, folks.

Turbo: Not leaving, but probably won't have the time to hang out here so much as running events is pretty demanding. I'll still drop in regularly enough.

erifdekcew: Didn't promote any of the stuff on our network. And are you sure you wouldn't want an AM that did IM? Seriously? Cause if they're not into it, how the hell are they supposed to actually help you out or know WTF they're talking about?

guerilla: Nah, it's pretty egalitarian down under. Even working for my self, I'll still be a pinko tree hugging godless communist, leeching off tax payers with subsidised education and healthcare ;)

ChrisS: You're still coming down for a brewery trip sometime, right?

Hell yeah, but it'll be around Christmas so I can dodge the cold here.

rock & a hard place with this one. do you want a GREAT affiliate manager, or an OK one?

there's gonna be risk involved if you're asking for help from anyone, but at the end of the day i think i'd rather know that the guy that is helping me has a fucking clue what he's doing.
