Well, talking specifically of advanced democracies (which the video I linked is about), I think they mean a great deal. Neither of those things is likely to imply a poor quality of life in those places.

the conservation of energy is postulated. we arent able to verify it. but the answer to the question, whether energy is conserved, is a universal truth that wont change just because we talk smack about it. if it really was not conserved, then energy would not be conserved and that would be truth. that we think otherwise has no impact on truth. wed just be wrong. its that easy.

in the same manner, keynesianism is wrong, and the amount of government funded "scientists" claiming the opposite doesnt make their claim a iota less wrong.

The US definitely is not a good example of how a government ought to behave. I agree. The US has slid ever further into a police state. But why the US and not other advanced democracies, which are all much further to the left politically? I don't know how anyone can claim it's a left vs. right thing.

2. unluckily, governments only play by your rules as long as they feel like doing so

3. pointing at norway doesnt make your argument right. theyre a tiny country with gigantic amounts of oil that they can very happily live on. the day norways resources dry up theyll become the bad guy just as much as everyone else.

4. other "advanced democracies" still elect a select few elite fags who cast votes about things they shouldnt even have jurisdiction over, call it the majority vote, and then make life shitty for everyone who might have not been in favor of the majority opinion. seconds later, the majority opinion will be declared truth.

What's sad is that he falls into the trap all relativists do.

If truth is subjective, then everything he writes cannot be presented as more than an opinion.

Which makes arguments with him a waste of time, because by his own argument, the things he says are completely subjective and have no foundation in objective reality.

In other words, he admits he cannot prove or substantiate anything he believes, yet he is still arguing as though he has superior facts.

It is hard to take people like this seriously, when they deny facts while insisting their argument is factual.

For those having trouble keeping up, this is like the guy who says, "I always lie."

This guy is a great time waster then, because he will invest hours into making arguments he doesn't believe in. Then he will cry and scream if you don't give him attention, that you are ignoring his argument, which even he doesn't think is true.

I'm sure they appreciate your concern. It's interesting how right-libertarianism is almost exclusively an American phenomenon.

Nevertheless, at some point you have to come to some agreement about what rules to live by if you want to coexist peacefully. Even if it's just deciding what theory of property to adopt. Invariably, someone won't be happy with that.
