Hans Hoppe talks about how irrational it is to think that government can police itself.

For whatever reason, people choose to believe the dual fairy tales that the Constitution has any authority on anyone, and that people in government have the incentive to do the right thing.

The most dangerous thing you can do is give a small group of people absolute power over society.
