The biggest joke is the farcical libertarians who stood by silent while Bush ran up the deficit and enacted unheard of state control of citizen's rights.....

Now many of them use ideological subterfuge as a reason why they don't like Obama when really what they don't like is the fact that a brilliant half-black guy with a foreign sounding name is the president of the united states....

Sad really...

ignoring that adjective (or any in that statement) i agree with her point (or at least the generalization thereof, I'm not familiar with this particular individual). Where were all these people and their rage during the lost decade? Spend a trillion tax dollars, thousands of US lives, and tens or hundreds of thousands of civillian lives blowing the fuck out of another nation cause it has weapons xxxstrike thatxxx cause the leader is evil, thats fine. Spend a trillion dollars on healthcare, thats fucking socialism. I might just be more aware now, given the constant droning, but by and large I'm having a very difficult time taking many of the popular criticisms seriously based on previous eight years of business as usual and the "Oh NOW you care" reaction I have.

And as for the "There was no Bush hate," you guys obviously weren't actually conscious when Bush was in power. A. other than spending a shitload warmongering and the PATRIOT Act, both of which are terrible, he wasn't all that dangerous - he didn't encourage an unprecedented increase in the money supply, he didn't consciously and intentionally destroy wealth (Cash for Clunkers?), he didn't deceive the House in to passing a health care bill that will likely be the end of the United States as we know it, and about a thousand other terrible centralizing things Obama has done since taking power. And Bush still took more shit than Obama is: he's still "the worst president of all time" to most people, etc..

Brilliant ? Now that's a stretch. He did overcome many obstacles to become the President. But what has he done that is "Change we can Believe In " ? All I've seen is change for the worst.

Who are you talking about?

And how would what people did 10 years ago be remotely relevant to genuine criticism of Obama now? That's like saying no one is entitled to an opinion unless they are perfectly consistent. Which none of us are. It's an impossible standard to demand.

All that matters is if the criticism is true or not. And claiming it is racially motivated is the pinnacle of intellectual sloth and dishonesty.

That said, this was a JOKE thread, and not for Riddar to make a joke of herself once again. It wasn't meant to be a super serious political debate.

Nancy Pelosi's face is really not better than a Halloween mask. Well, almost.
