Obama to create Internet watchdog and overhaul privacy "protections"

"The central issue in writing federal privacy legislation is whether the Internet industry's efforts to police its own behavior has been effective enough."

Translation -

"The central issue in getting up all these companies asses is whether they have been giving out bribes on there own enough or are going to have to be coerced into making the proper campaign contributions."

You guys are still pushing the lie that McCarthy was wrong? I thought they gave that up years ago..

conservative Bill Bennett in 2007 :
"The cause of anti-communism, which united millions of Americans and which gained the support of Democrats, Republicans and independents, was undermined by Sen. Joe McCarthy … McCarthy addressed a real problem: disloyal elements within the U.S. government. But his approach to this real problem was to cause untold grief to the country he claimed to love … Worst of all, McCarthy besmirched the honorable cause of anti-communism. He discredited legitimate efforts to counter Soviet subversion of American institutions."

conservative Bill Bennett in 2007 :
"blah blah blah doesn't matter what's said here because a "conservative" said it and therefore it's irrefutable"

LOL because Bill Bennett, a "conservative" said it, you think I'll agree with it?

You guys really do have the lamest tactics.

I know this is in the off topic lounge, but does anybody know how this will effect Adsense and affiliate marketing?

Santorum is a republican who says he's against privacy, Obama is a democrat for privacy... hmm.

Reality is they [the govt as a whole] are actually against it, Obama is just trying to look good for the election.
