Here's the story in a nutshell:
Samuel Williams, 71*, was at the Palms Internet Cafe in Ocala, Florida with his wife. Two would-be robbers enter the venue, one brandishing a firearm and the other holding a bat. After the threat become clear, Williams draws his firearm and fires a few rounds, wounding the thugs and chasing them from the venue.
He then locks the door and waits for the police to arrive. The two thugs were later found at a nearby hospital. Both were arrested. According to reports, Williams will not be charged.

I love to hear stories like the above. They are seldom reported, and present a welcome counter to the myriad stories that stoke the public's fears about firearms and concealed carry.
For those of you who are offended by the notion of a victim taking matters into his own hands, I present the following talking points:
- "Shame on Williams. He might have killed an innocent bystander."
- "Williams could have accidentally killed those two nice young men. Only a trained police officer has the wherewithal to shoot them in the leg."
- "If everyone carried a gun, we'd have wars breaking out in the streets everyday!"
- "Williams should have just done what he was told, and filed a report with police. That's what a good citizen is supposed to do."
- "Vigilantism is not an answer to crime. What's next? Lynching parties?!"
- "Do you know how many children are killed accidentally by guns?"
- "So... this is what anarchy looks like?" (lol)
