I don't think its a homophobe opinion, I guess I'm more of a traditionalist. However, I think gay couples should be able to attain the same legal rights as heterosexual married couples through Civil Unions, it just shouldn't be called marriage.

Assuming there's such a thing as homophobia, a fear of homosexuals, you shouldn't attack someone for having such a fear. It's tantamount to attacking a person for their mental illness.

But is it really a phobia? If you don't care for potatoes, are you a potatophobe? Are you afraid of potatoes? Of course, not. You just don't care for them.

It's disgusting that we live in an age where anyone who doesn't agree with a certain notion, idea, theory, etc is called a "phobe" or "denier." The implication is that if you don't agree with the Zeitgeist you're mentally ill.

I agree, Oprah said recently that people who objected to Obama's policies were doing so out of Racism, how about, maybe some of his idea's and actions are not that great.
 
The approval and disapproval rates for gay marriage are around 50%, but 90% disapprove of congress.

Therefore, congressional campaign donations must be a very controversial act for one to partake in.

Considering the state of the world, I can't possibly think of a more retarded debate than this...

Sitting around, "no, no... marriage just isn't right, but a civil union with the legal benefits is probably ok, because you know, I don't really care. marriage though would just wreck all of society".

Oh, for fuck sakes...

EDIT: Oh no, I did think of one. That "Merry Christmas" vs. "Happy Holidays" debate that comes up every year. That one just slightly edges this one out on the retardation scale.
