Old computer games that are still better than anything today

fallout = best rpg ever.

fallout 3 will be made by the same people that made morrowind right? I'm sure they won't do a horrible job.

I still play Heroes of Might and Magic III and Diablo II sometimes. About 10 years old each I reckon, still great games though.

I would still be willing to play Duke Nukem II though.

And only recently did I upgrade from the MegaDrive Genesis to a PS2 :\

Oh man...Fallout 3 looks awesome. Bethesda doesn't disappoint very often, so we're in good hands.

I just bought Myst and Riven on ebay for $12. Not the greatest game mechanics, but damn those were cool games. A while ago, I loaded up an SNES emulator and was playing some of the old stuff. I always loved Zelda - A Link To The Past.

YES, HOMM!

I have all five of them.

Starcraft still has some of the best multiplayer out there.

A S. Korean dude played starcraft for 50 straight hours a few years ago and died from like a heart attack or something. He only took a few breaks to take a piss and grab some food. Thats a game to get that kinda addiction.

Links 386 Golf (Sierra)
Conquest of the New World (Sierra)
3d Ultra Mini Golf (Sierra) - the online multiplayer was my first online game ever.
Kings Quest 1-7 (Sierra)
Sim City/Sim City 2000 (Sierra)

Sweet Mona Lisa, Sierra made everything good back in the day.

wow, lots of fallout fans... I thought this was a small game with not that much popularity.

These are my oldies but goldies:
Digger
Monkey Island 1+2
The Day of the Tentacle
Duke Nukem

and of course Streets of Rage 2 on Sega Genesis.

Oh, Duke Nukem... Mmmmm. I was 12/14-ish, and those strippers were awesome!

Nothing beats Alex Kidd (I think it was on the Sega Master System). I used to play it when I was 2 and it was my introduction to video games. I downloaded a rom of it a couple of years ago and it's freaking hard! I'm amazed I got so far as a kid because you have to do everything like perfectly, although I remember doing the same levels over, and over, and over, and over, and over - I never got past a level where there are monkeys throwing something at you from trees, and then you have to defeat a boss...I wonder what happened at the end of the game.
