Old computer games that are still better than anything today

Duke Nukem was the first game on my first PC...and the strippers rocked :D

Fallout. Cult fan base and "consistently high review scores"
Fallout (computer game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Deus Ex, one of the best games ever (far better than the lame, dumbed down Deus Ex 2 ).

Planescape Torment is a work of art, a true masterpiece.

Diablo, Unreal Tournament, Heroes Of Might And Magic, X-COM: Apocalypse, Mech Commander, Dungeon Keeper...Redneck Rampage was cool :D

Anyone remember Myth from Bungie ?! Revolutionary physics and gameplay, even by today's standards.

Man, I feel old...

Mech Commander! I have Mech Commander Gold and Mech Commander II.

Amiga days:
Armalyte
Xenon 2
Infestation (Psygnosis)
R-Type
Project X (Team17)
Stunt Car Racer
Blood Money

Older PC games:
Team Fortress Classic (played lots this with colleagues in a dotcom company in 99)
Doom (back in 93 me and my college buddies built our own LAN using cables stretched across tall trees on campus so we could play 4-player deathmatch)

CS 1.3/1.6 and TFC, as well as Age of Empires (I & II) ;) good 90's games. Or if you're cool, Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong Adventure & Diddy Kong racing for laptop (emulator) ^^

I'm just finished up a quest on WarCraft 2 the other night. Still play Space Empires IV as well. I still have Final Fantasy I, II, and III for NES and SNES.... just don't have an NES or SNES to play 'em on any more. :(

OK.. great games here.

I LOVED stunt car racer on the AMIGA.
Also Dungeon Master

One thing I really enjoy is games that really change concepts, and I find it sad that there seem to be less and less developers who have the balls to do something new.

So I will share some obscure but good games:

K.U.L.T - The temple of the flying saucers
KULT: The Temple of Flying Saucers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Adventure game, great graphics, obscure story.

Bombuzal
Bombuzal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Good puzzle game, the PC grafx SUCK balls.

Starglider 2
Starglider 2 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Space game, as far as I know, the only game that ran on Atari ST and Amiga with the same codebase.

North & South
North & - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fun "strategy" game. Hours of fun in games versus a friend.

Populous
Populous - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
One of the first "god" games and mad fun.

Alex Kidd when I was a kid that thing was amazingly hard.

Delta Force 2, Commander Keen, Unreal, Quake, Doom, Kingpin: Life of Crime, Duke Nukem 3D, Age Of Empires: Age of Kings (online mostly), Command & Conquer, Sim City 2000 (spent so many hours on this), Ultima Online probably shitloads more... I used to spend waaaaayyy too much time playing games!

I hated Sim City 2000, faar too easy compared to the first one.
