One term President? One term President.

I take it you miss Shrub's chest-thumping and his love of "boots on the ground." Maybe one day this decade we'll disengage ourselves from his Iraq and Afghanistan adventures.

Do we have enough cash and soldiers for a third Mideast engagement? I guess we could grow some troops using stem cells.

All I ever hear in these anti-Obama threads is "they took er jerbs!"

Here's my thing... lets see all these haters do a better job.. it's so easy to criticize from a distance.

This is looking more and more like a Carter administration.

Spineless like Carter was about Iran.

Good thing the UN and the international community is so decisive.

Play another round of golf, Obama.

Now all we need is the inflation (which is on it's way).

See ya in 2012.

For years the concensus of the American people is to stop jumping in the middle of every conflict around the world and let them settle their problems. Unless it turns into another Bosnia I have to agree with that.

Regarding Carter...I don't know...If I were sitting over there with a gun at my head I would not want him to do anythng rash either. Gotta wonder though, when they were finally released and out of harms way...why didn't Regan take some punitive military action

...why didn't Regan take some punitive military action
Because he didn't have to. The Iranians released the hostages on the same day Reagan was inaugurated. This was deliberately intended to make Jimmy Carter (who took military action via a failed hostage rescue attempt) look bad.

I owe, I owe. It's back to work I go.

Obama has lost me with this one really. Don't be surprised when gas prices hit fucking $6 in the near future. Other countries like Yemen and Bahrain are doing the same thing killing off protesters in their country so are we going to get involved over there too?? Obama is acting like Bush right now and getting America involved in some shit that we have no business in. We all know how some of these arabs can get very extreme sometimes so America is putting a HUGE target on its back after doing this shit...

Yes, I get it completely. But a lot of people were calling for some punative action, not necessarily to save the hostages but to teach a lesson. Once they were out of harm's way....nothing prevented that. Anyway, I don't advocate military force unless it is completely justified but just saying it easy for someome to blame an administration they do not like, but totally gloss over it when one they do like does the same thing.

It's gonna be painful for a lot people. Some may not agree, but personnally I wish the government would start us down the road to getting off oil for personal transportation. I don't know if that means pumping more dollars in to research for alternative fuels, or mandating that some percentage of cars sold in the USA have to burn natural gas by 2020 and pumping some money into building the infrastructure. I don't know the best answer but wish they would do something that will keep a lot more of those fuel dollars in the US.

Obama is Bush. We are well on our way to a corporate run government so it doesn't matter whose in office.

I'm convinced that all the same interests are pulling the strings, we just get different flavors depending on which party is in power.

Then when the pendulum swings to the other party, they undo all of the stuff that was just passed out of retribution/revenge motivations, and the cycle continues forever that way.

Also, laying inflation at the feet of Obama pretty much ignores the economic reality of what happened in late 2008. Inflation is coming no matter what, and you can lay the blame for that right at the feet of the Fed, Wall Street, and Corporate Banks.

The republic needs a reboot.
