Online Degree in Physics?

how come no one has seen the flaw in his first sentence.

you want a degree in physics but dont have time to go to school.

How the fuck can you have time to teach yourself physics online but not time to take a class.

Either way you look at it you will never get this degree.

Because going to a University requires 30-60 minutes of commuting a few days every week, and requires me to work at the same pace as everyone else. I was just trying to think of ways to shave as much time as possible, but in the end it's not going to work.

I'll probably read the MIT material in my spare time over the next couple years and maybe by that point if I can drift away from business for a few years to do real studying, I'll have a decent head start.

I know we are a long way away from the days when Einstein worked in a patent office, but I'd think that some think tanks would be a little more liberal in worrying about your accreditation or lack there of.

Geesh - go watch Good Will Hunting :)

Odd's are though that you aren't that brilliant or you'd have learned it all by now :) So make sure you get a degree so you can get a job.

Thanks for the resources, the MIT one is good and I've checked out Khan Academy before, that guy is a machine.

Because I have a lot more interest in physics than I do business, and I'm not going to strictly run businesses for the rest of my life. Physics is figuring out the unknown, exploring, and evolving as a human race. It makes everything else seem insignificant.

Physics is hella fascinating, it was my favorite class when I was a science major. I don't blame you man. The bad thing about taking an online class is you won't have the opportunity to bang your lab instructor like I did for an easy A.
