Online gambling?

So I'm posting this in newbie section for hope of a little slack. Let me also mention I love you guys.

Question: has anyone ever tried online gambling or tried to market it? What was your experience? How about gambling sites in the US? Any kind of tax laws about this? How safe is your bank account? Anything else would be useful, thanks.

If you're wondering about the actual online gambling: plenty of people make bank off online poker/etc. I know a college student who regularly plays 16 tables of low bet games simultaneously, and sustains a small, but stable income.

Supposedly, it's a lot harder than it looks though.
