.org domain names



.org are meant for non-profits and they actually work great for non-profits. It's bad for branding a commercial site because it's a relatively obscure extension and most will have a hard time remembering that your name is .org. .Com is the way to go for a commercial with .net a very distant second, and .info and .tv in there as well.

Unless you have a killer one word dictionary .org such as laptops.org or something - using a .org for a business is a bad idea.
