Out of Touch | Pls Advise

Hi,

I have been working as VA for a client with big retail business chain, who deals in shirts and all types of accessories and garments.
Have been buying from Chinese manufacturers, shipping the products to the clients, checking customers mails, and doing everything needed.
But recently they have shifted to another business and I am jobless right now.
Can you pls advise where I can get clients who needs similar work ?
I am out of touch for years here, need help from u guys.

Ok I'll take a crack at this.

First: Did you learn enough maybe that you could set yourself up in business using a similar model? As long as you are looking for a J-O-B you will always be at the mercy of your employer's whims and the likely victim of other people's poor business acumen. Self employment is not for everyone but if you have the discipline you can make your own way.

Second: if that's not an option right now then I'd point you to the freelancing sites, upwork and guru.com for starters. If you are new to the sites then you might take a low paying gig to get your first feedback and logged hours. That's especially true on upwork where employers typically filter out applicants with no feedback and no hours, meaning you never even get seen by them if you apply. Take that low paying, easy, short term project so you will become visible to the good employers. Good luck bro!!
