Have you tried P90X...??

I used to skip the infomercial but of late I have watched it like a few times.
And also the Insanity Workout?

Anybody here actually trying that out?
Gym is obviously not working for me.

And for running, all I do is collect running shoes ..

I've done both insanity and P90X a few times (but not completed) and I can say without a doubt that the hardest thing about both workouts is not getting bored. Tony and the other guy get boring real quick since it's the same 45-60 minute workout (1:30 for yoga oh god).

The first day of P90X is the worst (it's basically lots of pushups), after that it gets easier. Insanity is like day 2 of p90x except every day, with some pushups thrown in.

It works though. You just pop it in and follow along.

I decided on crossfit. It's the same concept (shorter more intense workouts) but different workouts on a daily basis so you won't get bored. They also focus more on weights which I enjoy. The resuts come as a result of the workout and good diet, most crossfiters do paleo.

I go to a local crossfit gym but there's a national website that's free if you're game.

I did it, was a pretty good introduction to fitness and nutrition. But I'm not doing Starting Strength which I find far superior.

Let me tell you something. P90x is definitely not for beginners, I suggest running and doing push ups a week prior to starting it or else you'll get worn out. That's what happened to me, shit is ridiculous!

I haven't had time for P90X (I mainly just want to get some muscle definition and drop back down to 140 from 180), but my cousin did it a few months ago. I hadn't seen him since Christmas and he showed up on Easter super skinny. He was fairly overweight and now is about as skinny as me.

He hasn't done the weight training he had planned to once slimming down. He now runs quite a bit and is wanting to enter into the Atlanta Road Race.

I started PX90 followed it to a T. A week later after losing 7 lbs. I started to piss blood. Apparently something with the liver producing some thing that over loaded my kidneys. I don't know the half of it ,but I'll be cleared by my doctor to start again in about a week. I will do it again and fucking complete it this time.

That sounds extremely unpleasant. Was the overproduction related to the sudden increase in exercise?

I bought it a while back, but haven't got my lazy ass around to starting it. Having a 6 month old baby doesn't leave much free time, but I do want to give it a shot, probably in a modified version.

P90X worked for me during the time I did use it. I gave up at Week 7 because I started 'making' some money (50cent/day) and got overly excited and said fuck my health

P90X WORKS. It's not perfect, but if you're new to bodybuilding/fitness it's a great program that will get you some serious results.

Have a puke bucket handy the first few times if you decide to really go for it.

The only good thing about p90x is the marketing.

...and all the positive reviews it has, fatass.
