LIVES IN SECTION 8 HOUSE, WEARS BRAND NAME CLOTHING, HAS BIG SCREEN HDTV, $50k+ CAR WITH CHROME RIMS, 100 PAIRS OF SHOES. NOTHING CAN BE EXPLAINED.
Seriously though this is getting disgusting
Most people with low incomes smoke, dip, drink, and play the lottery. They will spend more money on vices and gambling than they do on food or saving. I would argue that nearly 75-80% of their money goes to such activities, and they live on the rest.
Most people's financial problems can be fixed by just removing the smoking, drinking, and lottery tickets each week.
Yep, it unreal, I own a few Section 8 rentals, I get paid $1100 month from the government for a small 3/2 house. They all trash the house so when they move its always paint and carpet AT LEAST. They all also have very nice furniture and nice TVs. I just recently went full time with my internet biz and quit my 'normal' job so some of these tenants literally have more disposable income then I do right now and the government is giving it to them.
I would fully support abolishing section 8 and having to find other tenants, also.
Most people in the States PERIOD smoke or dip & drink, (I don't know the stats on lottery players across the board). So because someone is born into poverty they should be a more pristine person than the rest of society? That doesn't make sense. First off, prove it. Secondly, this goes back to all of the U.S. population, whether people have money or not they are constantly satisfying their vices as a whole. I guarantee you, those who have money now, if they suddenly were without it, the majority would continue EVERY SINGLE vice they have.
But where do you draw the line? Why would it be ok to get a guaranteed mortgage payment from the government on my investment property but not to apply for food stamps and use them to buy lottery tickets and booze? Either way I'm taking money from tax payers for my own personal gain.
How do you know every tenant he has had hasn't trashed the place? You're making stupid accusations.
Sounds like you have none. You don't know the tenants, you don't know the neighborhood, you don't know how many tenants he's had.
You know what? You believe want you WANT to believe dude. For people like you, hearing something like "ALL poor people trash their places" or "ALL poor people are lazy" is as true as ALL dogs bark or ALL chickens cluck.
But besides what you WANT to believe, poor people aren't animals. Most did not start at the starting line from childhood, some beat the odds(like me), some don't. Those that don't beat the odds (the freaking ODDS man, think about that) are a mix of hard workers and lazy people, clean people and dirty people, moral people and immoral people. Just like everybody else in society. Just... Like... Everybody...Else.
The way that dude made it sound, he had a BUNCH of tenants, if so then HE's FREAKIN LYING about ALL, common sense (get some). If he's only had a couple, then he is trying to paint a disingenuous picture by saying ALL. Which speaks more to his lack of character than the group of people he WANTS to slander.
And before for you say "he didn't say ALL poor people, he said ALL his tenants", let's not play dumb. He was trying to use a small-scope example to paint a broad-scope picture, under a likely false premise or like I said at the very least disingenuous platitude. Some people see through your type.
