Is it impossible to live on a paleo diet and eat grains? Are all grains processed? (newb/lazy alert)

About 6 weeks ago I stopped purchasing all processed food at the grocery store. While it's not 100% paleo, everything I buy is organic (fruit, meat, milk, eggs, cheese, veggies) and I avoid anything processed.

I somewhat frequently eat out (1-2x a week) and order whatever my heart desires because I feel the fruits of science should be enjoyed. The one thing I'm really missing from my daily diet is grains...fruit/beef just doesn't fill me up like a bowl of pasta does.

you can eat all the grains you want as long as they are the form that comes right out of the ground (gross)

eating processed grains kind of defeats the point of paleo

Hey thx for the tip.

I'm trying to minimize the risk of cancer and disease while also -as I said- enjoying the fruits of science (aka delicious food).

Then your trying to eat healthier, not be on the Paleo diet silly goose.

I'm about to start up a no grains diet, apparently it's like Atkins except you still get some carbs from fruits and vegetables. Has anyone else ever tried it?

I'm about to waste my time posting something pointless on an internet forum because I have nothing better to do.

you're**

But anyway, I've read bits about the paleo diet and I see the merits in it. That's why I'm trying to shift my diet towards that, but am facing some issues. I'm most likely in better physical shape than anybody posting in this thread, but I'd like to minimize risk towards unpredictable (cancerous) diseases.

I have been eating "Primal" for about 6 months and I feel amazing.

I cut out all processed junk, sugar, caffeine, grains, and stick to low glycemic index fruits/veggies.

For me personally, after eating bread I would get extremely sleepy right after, check out the The Primal Blueprint. Not exactly sure why you're being a dick. I was just trying to add to the conversation. Just for that I'm not going to tell you how my diet goes.

Been doing primal/paleo for 4.5 months.

Good amount of weight lost plus nice body recomp. However, I do "cheat' 1-2x/week in the form of a pizza, or a piece of cake, dark chocolate, etc...

If you stay on target 90% of the time you're doing OK - actually much more than OK. So have your grains now and then if you crave them.

My bad, I was in a troll mood last night (and had been drinking/footballing hehe). And it seemed like all you did was rephrase what I had originally said, which is why I thought you were just trolling too.
