Paleo Living and Grains



Flour is made of grain. White flour is bleached to that color. The compound used to bleach flour is the same one used to induce diabetes in lab rats for testing.

That's how healthy it is.

Not to mention that the flour itself has been bread and engineered so much that it basically poison to the body.
 
As a Paleo noob, it is hard to tell what advice on this thread is serious and not. Is this serious? That would be cool.
I don't know the official Paleo diet stance on Rices; but I can tell you without hesitation that Jasmine rice has been around since mankind started farming in asia and it is not bleached at all... Very natural, tasty stuff.

Samsclub has it here (as does walmart and all asian grocery stores) for something like $0.50 cents per pound... And a pound can last you a week of daily meals... ALL Your carbs for a whole week.

That's probably the hardest part of Paleo - the breakfast.

I used to be a cereal and apple guy before. Now, I eat bacon and eggs on my resistance workout days and intermittent fasting on my non-resistance days (i.e. no breakfast).

It'd be interesting to hear what others are eating.

Im doing a little bit of intermittent fasting...broken up by the fact that I am juicing in the morning. Going with a recommended juice from someone here on WF of 2 apples, 2 carrots, handful of kale, 2 stalks of celery, half a cucumber, a piece of ginger root and sometimes a tomato if I am feeling it.

I make sure I dont ever eat anything past 730, and then aside from the juice I have upon waking up I dont eat until 12.

Ive lost 25 pounds in about a month and a half thus far. And have been having 1 cheat meal every Saturday. Makes it 1,000,000 times easier to get through the week if I know I can look forward to a hamburger or some pizza and a beer on the weekend.
