Pat Robertson says Haitians made deal with devil

While I think Pat Robertson is way off on his reasoning, Niel Cavuto Should be shot in the face. Opportunistic hypocrite wanting to take a high road, he's full of shit.

What did Neil Cavuto do? I see Shepard Smith, but nothing regarding Neil Cavuto?

He's the guy who said Haiti's earthquake and the subsequent 100,000 dead were, and I quote: "a blessing in disguise".

It's documented history, although according to the folklore, the 'curse' ended in 1991. So while Robertson's correct on the first part, the second part doesn't really make sense.

holy fuck you are a loon

He's the christian rightwing nutter/attention whore that also said Katrina happened because this nation legalizes abortion and 9//11 was because of the homosexuals.

Sounds like he's just an effective troll. Props to the man.

I'm Christian and I donated. I've read about this pact afterwards, but my determination to donate wasn't swayed. Whether tribes or nations were marked cursed or blessed, what does any of this have to do from the eyes of an infant? Babies are born with pure innocence, it's society that forces them into identities. Long story short... since this curse, how many generations of children have passed? Even if ancestors made satanic pacts in far bygone history, their children today live their lives different.

Finally, Christian curses do not carry on over more than three family generations. I believe that is the reason why some claim the curse ended in 1991.

Actually, the words Christian/curse are an oxymoron.

The only Christian curse I recognize is 2000+ years of merciless slaughter of "infidels" (the Ottomons, the Jews, the midwives and herbalists of medieval times, the abortion providers of today). That anybody would knowingly choose to be Christian when in its short history it's the bloodiest one out there is beyond me.

Connecting with Jesus in some spiritual way or trying to live in a loving way, that's all good - but Christians have been the worst at accomplishing this, ironically.

Hang on now - you gotta give some props to the Muslims who are giving the Christians a serious run for their money for "most dangerous religion". Some would argue the Muslims are actually #1 since they are the current leaders in that category, so give props where it's due. Ask yourself, would you rather be on a plane full of Muslims, or Christians...?

ps; I've spent much of my youth literally growing up in the amazon rainforest. My father was a hunter [yep, the one with bow and arrow] -- This sentence;

It is a matter of well-documented historical fact that the nation of Haiti was dedicated to Satan 200 years ago. On August 14, 1791, a group of houngans (voodoo priests), led by a former slave houngan named Boukman, made a pact with the Devil at a place called Bois-Caiman.

[...]

In this ritual, Boukman asked Satan for his help in liberating Haiti from the French.
Makes absolutely no sense. First, tribes only have one priest. Not armadas of them. People who become priests are chosen monarchy-style from certain bloodlines only. When a bloodline runs out of successors for any reason... the tribe's village is at a high risk of being taken over. In any case, priests don't come a dime a dozen.

Second- without having too much knowledge of tribes outside amazonian territory, I can safely say that NO tribesperson anywhere in the world has heard of any being called 'Satan' !! The entire word 'Satan' just never existed! Note how the article bounces back and forth between the terms 'Satan' and 'Devil' several times?

Good chance this tribe called upon their own war spirit, Devil if you may, in order to secure this so-called pact. If said 'Devil' happened to have an obscure, unpronounceable name... "let's just call it 'Satan' as the Europeans we are!"

Smoke and mirrors, folks. Donate to Haiti. These folks are in need. Donate to Haiti

Couldn't agree more, mate. The only thing pure about Christianity today is the book (KJV) on our table.
