ps; I've spent much of my youth literally growing up in the amazon rainforest. My father was a hunter [yep, the one with bow and arrow] -- This sentence;
Makes absolutely no sense. First, tribes only have one priest. Not armadas of them. People who become priests are chosen monarchy-style from certain bloodlines only. When a bloodline runs out of successors for any reason... the tribe's village is at a high risk of being taken over. In any case, priests don't come a dime a dozen.
Second- without having too much knowledge of tribes outside amazonian territory, I can safely say that NO tribesperson anywhere in the world has heard of any being called 'Satan' !! The entire word 'Satan' just never existed! Note how the article bounces back and forth between the terms 'Satan' and 'Devil' several times?
Good chance this tribe called upon their own war spirit, Devil if you may, in order to secure this so-called pact. If said 'Devil' happened to have an obscure, unpronounceable name... "let's just call it 'Satan' as the Europeans we are!"
Smoke and mirrors, folks. Donate to Haiti. These folks are in need. Donate to Haiti
Couldn't agree more, mate. The only thing pure about Christianity today is the book (KJV) on our table.
I'm pretty sure the French taught them all about Satan when they indoctrinated them as Catholics.
