Yo WF,

I'm thinking about jumping into the Pay-Per-Call game but don't want to lose my shirt trying to find the right traffic model. I reached out to some fools on the WF but they seem to be in the dark.

What's the best way to drive calls to a call center?

Google, Bing or some other methed?

What I like to do is hire a call center to call the call center. I cal it PPCA, for pay-per-call arbitrage.

Pay per call is tough and unprofitable. I recommend you stick with SEO.

Uh, it works best if you're doing it alongside a regular host and post lead generation form. That way, when you drive traffic to your landing page (through all of the traditional methodologies) you provide your leads a choice on how to contact the business.

I don't know exactly what you are saying, so I might be talking about something entirely different here, but...

If you use something like Callfire then you can set up various tracking numbers, see the numbers that called in, what time of day/week they called, and listen to the call records. Add a different tracking number to various add groups and landers to see what's converting best. Like VinBed said, have a contact form too.

If you are using a CRM that tells profit by customer, then you can just make a list of unique phone calls, match them in the CRM by their phone number, and then see what you profited fairly easily.(this is ideal for local businesses)
