What's the best method of tracking pay per call leads? I imagine asking someone to say you referred them is gonna result in a big loss of commissions and I blank on anything past that.
The best method is to ask your provider of the leads to give you a report of the leads they are charging you for: time, date, caller#, length of call, etc.
If they can't or won't, you can find a service like CallSource where they give you a phone number. You either use that number in your ads, or redirect the number in your ads to that number. Then you forward the second number to your business. The service provider should be able to give you a very complete set of reporting options including name, address, caller number, length of call, etc. (This is based on the phone number and may not be the actual information of the person calling if they are using someone else's phone.)
A side benefit is that you can block prank or abusive calls if you get many of those. One thing to be aware of is that you may be assigned phone numbers that have been used before and may get calls for the previous business. You should be able to claim credit for these and get a new number if you need one. But check things out BEFORE publishing any new phone numbers in case you have to change them!
Check out my service, CallPixels... we're definitely the most affordable pay-per-call tracking platform and we integrate directly with your existing affiliate admin.
Thanks guys didn't think of rerouting it like that. I'm still pending verification on the offer guess they're checking stuff out. Hopefully I do get one of those pre-used numbers but either way workin on traffic already and thinkin of other ways to monetize.
