PayPal asking for my SSN

PayPal has had mine for almost 10 years, there's nothing shady about it. If you're worried about an employee stealing your identity or something, I'd be more concerned about giving the SSN to affiliate networks than I would be about giving it to someone like PayPal.
 


I remember them requesting my SSN a few years back, probably for withdrawing over a certain amount. No issues.
