PC to Mac question

The only things I can think of are like ScrapeBox- but I run that in a VM (also makes it portable :338: )
Have you tried Coda? I don't know what kind of things you use TextMate for but I use Coda for writing HTML and CSS. It has a pretty nice built in FTP too.
Btw i just used a mac again this time with a mouse, and it still lags like a mother fucker. what gives? do I have to use only apple approved mice or something for there not to be an annoying millisecond delay when moving the mouse... i guess thats mostly what bothers me about the interface
I have a Logitech MX518 on my Mac and there is no delay whatsoever. I have a cheap-shit Dell mouse from my junk box I just tried, and there is no delay whatsoever.
Look, if you're really proficient at Windows, have spent a lot of time perfecting your workflow and building up "muscle memory", then ANYTHING even slightly different will throw you off track and feel slow. But "different" is not the same as "worse".
You have to decide whether you're willing to put the same amount of time and effort into learning the "Mac ways" - keyboard shortcuts, little tricks and cheats and such. If you are, you'll probably find that you can adapt faster than you thought and will be back at your original speed within a few days. But if you're not, if you're not willing to suspend your preconceived notion for a while and instead are just looking for ways to confirm it, well, then better stay with Windows. But don't come here bitching about how slow a Mac is.

Not really "favs", but there a few industry-specific apps like SpeedPPC, ScrapeBox, stuff like that. I run them on WinXP on VMware on my MacBook. Both OSs access the same folders, drag and drop between Mac and Win, copy-and-paste - no problem. You actually get the best of both worlds.
OS X has a queer mouse acceleration curve that you can't really do anything about. There a programs that allow you to tweak it but not completely get how the mouse movement is on Windows.
It takes a little while to get used to, but it's not that bad, it works really well with trackpads as well.

Just honestly trying to think of all the things I disliked and get peoples input, to see if its something thats actually helpful even if at first it seems weird, or if there are tweaks or whatever else. im definitely done being a pc fanboy and im open to change...and yes this is exactly whta im talking about. windows mouse movement just seems extremely precise. both with a trackpad (shudder) and regular mouse its not delayed but theres some curve or something that makes it seem like its going in slow motion or something every so slightly
