tonight I did the thing again which you thought had no honor / use. I saved a girl from being raped. yes, outside of a basement. yes, as in threatened violence towards the 2 guys who had been majorly creeping on her for an hour. They were trying to lead her into a back alley. i guess being a tough guy in the real world requires some actual courage? remember how roughly a year ago you thought that was wrong? Girls don't deserve my voluntary protection? I and others do. shit like this is how I try and create a better world. I wouldn't be surprised if G has you on ignore at this point too, but I'd like to take a stab at this issue you've posed, if you don't mind:
I have to assume that Guerilla was referencing the NAP back then. (I have no idea what occasion you're talking about here.) There is a good case for not assisting that girl last night for the sake of following the NAP, but I'm not going to berate you for doing so, and I might even do so myself in this fucked up world I already live in.
What you statists are defending, whether you realize it or not, is a system of barbarism and slavery in which you CREATE the people that wanted to do harm to that girl.
You personally didn't influence those thugs to be what they are today and treat girls the way they do, but someone else created by the state you are supporting did.
Every issue imaginable boils down to the incentives that caused it to be.
i.e. What was the incentive these fuckers had to harm that girl? Which incentive(s) to keep to themselves was missing?
If everyone practiced the NAP, their incentives to harm her would be greatly reduced, and their fear that she might be packing heat (a huge incentive) would be raised... The whole ugly event could never have happened.
So while I'm here among this shitty, mindless-slave-producing, immoral statist society, there will always be victims like that girl and I have to admit, in the moment, you are doing an act of good to save her from that horrible fate. Congrats. You have a heart.
But the rest of the time, you and everyone else with a pulse should be working hard towards turning this shitty world into one with no leaders and no slaves... And promoting the NAP under all circumstances is the best way to do that.

Actually, you "saved" a drunk girl without knowing whether or not the guy she was with was even "with" her. It's easy to save people who don't ask for your help, from situations you can't even be sure are a problem.

This had nothing to do with the NAP, but Matt supposedly protecting a super drunk girl from a guy. He didn't know the girl or the guy, he was a bit drunk himself (as I imagine he is right now) and he decided that he was going to save the girl from the guy, because the guy was being creepy with her.
My only argument at the time (iirc) was that he couldn't know he was helping, and did he really have a "right" to insert himself into the situation? What if they were boyfriend and girlfriend? He didn't and couldn't know.
