How is it any different from people selling "news" sites that have rehashed information on current news?

Although I've never seen an Admin reverse a deleted comment before. . . Kind of interesting.

Investment bankers will be making billions off the collapse of the Japanese economy while contributing absolutely nothing to society.

Yikes, Bad Karma! Infinite Opportunities, Elsewhere....

In saying that, each to their own....

I see nothing wrong with it, but unfortunately I don't know how to profit from it anyways lol.

Wait another day or two and buy stocks that are way down? Is it really that easy?

Buy Japanese stocks, help the Japanese economy by restoring confidence, sell when stocks rebound:)

I have a dropselling website in a relevant niche (not going to out exactly what niche), and it's gone from $30/day in profit to $400/day since the earthquake. The dropseller's order API had even had some downtime because they said they were flooded with orders.

I don't see anything wrong with any of this. The only problem I have is when people cause or enable suffering by trying to make a buck (like collecting donations and keeping them for yourself)

I honestly don't see anything wrong with it (I wouldn't do it myself), but it's nothing new... People always take advantage of natural disasters; Just look at what happened with Haiti.. I wouldn't take advantage of people like that, but after this happening almost every time there's a natural disaster, I don't really see anything wrong with it anymore.

i read somewhere that red cross eats up 80% of the donations in paying out salaries and maintaining offices. i'm not sure if the stats are correct, but if they are, it really sucks.

Yeah and imo that should be disclosed up front (and not in tiny writing somewhere) There's alot of charities, though, who have found a niche in proudly disclosing their financials on their website and they'll say something like 90% of your money goes to the victims/cause.

Absolutely. By the way, I also sent you a PM which is awaiting response.

You are 100% correct! Not only red cross, almost all so called public service organizations (UNHCR, UNDP, Red Cross, etc) eat up 80% of the donations in paying out salaries, maintaining offices, conducting parties, Excessive Luxuries, Going picnics, etc and only a small fraction reaches the needy people.
