He says you should mention a price in your ads so that many so called 'window shoppers' will not click on your ads and you'll save money. That never worked for me with google QS algo. With google either you spend the money or you are out baby.
Not only do I not put a price on my ads but when CTR goes down too much, I am clicking on my own ads. Rather than let competitors have the traffic? Yep I am. I'll buy all the traffic and they can suck..
I don't care what it does to the ROI or how much I am investing to get my money, I am willing to spend twice as much to get it but I'll get my profit each and every day.
so, someone might be spending $70 to get $270 and be happy with a $200 profit on few(er) clicks (till the QS goes to hell),
I might be spending $4000 to get $4500 but I am getting $500 profit and turning over way more clicks thus protecting my QS.
So, Google gets $4000 instead of $70, I get $500 instead of $270 and I also stay rock solid at position #4, which keeps the clicks coming in which keeps the QS up which keeps my minimun bid low.
This all... roughly speaking. Yep there's Google's human intervention after that but that's another story.
