Alright so ive had the Blackberry Tour for 15 months and im about to smash it with a hammer.

TORN BETWEEN iPhone 4 and Droid X

199844-199729-iphone-4-vs.-droid-x_original_original.jpg

*both actually have unlimited data at $30/month

Heres how I cannot decide:

iPhone4:
No Flash
No Tether App Support
Better UI
I'll finally be cool.

Droid:
Flash
Tether Support
Cheaper

So pick for me and I'll buy what WF wants.

if u want games and polished apps iphone
if you want extreme speed and massive productivity atrix

or what above me said

Nexus with Android 2.2 is sold out here.

But next month it's mine and you all will be green with envy.

iOS apps >>>>>>>>> android apps

specs for phones and tablets are basically worthless. Its 100% about software and iOS is so far ahead there right now its stupid.

I've tried quite a few phones, and I hate to say it about any Mac product, but the iphone is still by far my favorite. Mostly because there are so many enthusiasts, I think you get the biggest variety of applications, forum support, etc.

also no other phone has a screen that looks as good as an iphone. retina display is incredible.

android does a lot of cool shit, but is real market is for people that can't afford an iphone.

Just gave my iphone away and bought a Samsung Galaxy S. Must say Android is much much much better than iphone OS.

Loving android, hating iphones

iPhone if you like stuff to "just work" or Android if you like to tweak or text a lot (physical keyboard).

Don't choose based on # of apps -- Android is exploding and will dominate soon.

Neither of them if you like physical number keys for dialing!

Heh, the new cool thing where I live I've been noticing are the yuppie fucks who are TOO cool for iPhones and start using Droids and will find any chance to bash the iPhone since basically every one has them now.

Both models you listed are becoming "old" nowdays, with the Droid X2 coming and the iPhone 5 inevitably looming.

I'm an Android user, but from my experience with iPhones, you CANNOT go wrong with the Apple. The apps and community are 2nd to none and you absolutely can't go wrong. I don't even own any sort of Apple computer/product besides my trusty 120GB iPod for the car.

The only reason I use Android is because I can modify basically anything to my liking and it allows for more "freedom"/hacking than an iPhone, and yes Flash support helps.

iPhone apps are currently better but Android apps are rapidly catching up. I think the raw processing power of Android handsets will shine through in the future. Dual core processors are becoming the new standard with Android phones within the next few months.

If I wasn't a geeky fuck and just a casual user, I would 1000% go for the iPhone. But if you like to tinker around with your shit, the Android is probably a way better choice. Either way, they're both good, it all depends on what you want from your phone.

Willing to bet if I waited to get the Droid X2, Verizon will officially switch to tiered data plans and no unlimited.

Still no release date on the X2 either....?

I had the iphone 3gs and I can't tell you what a piece of shit it was. Slow, web browsing a nightmare, kept stalling for no reason (had to force restart many times) and don't get me started on itunes.

I love when the apple fanboys talk about itunes saying "well its not made for PCs" its made for Macs. What the fuck??? So you come out with a piece of hardware that you want the mass market to buy, but fuck it you wont invest some money into the software needed to do anything with it for the majority of your users. If that is not some stupid fucked up shit I don't know what is.

itunes is the worst piece of shit software in the history of anything.
