I thought it might be interesting to list some of the jobs you have had during your life. Here are some of mine:
Printing Press Operator
Dance Shoe Salesman
Ballroom Dance Instructor (still doing that)
Stable Hand (yes, I shoveled shit)
Pizza Delivery (and making pizzas and management)
Legal Research
Real Estate Research
Some food franchises: Bojangles (got fired), Subway, Wendy's, D'Lites of America, Cookie Company

Interesting idea!
I have worked as:
a secretary and bookkeeper for a fire prevention company
nanny
retail rep for Enterprise rent-a-car
cable customer service rep for Rogers
beautician for Clinique
hospital aide
drum and bugle corps colour guard instructor

and many more...

roofer (that lasted a day)
computer consultant
programmer
product manager
production manager
technical writer
web site designer/programmer
wannabe affiliate marketer :)

It all begin in first grade when I started hustling paper airplanes to those stupid kids who couldnt make them but still wanted to hang with the cool kids who could. I made a few bucks before getting my operation shutdown when the janitor saw me bitch slap some kid like a ho when he didnt have my money. What a lousy way to go.

Then in 5th grade I began selling Warheads (that sour candy that no one eats anymore but was a huge fad 10 years ago). Bought a bag of like 30 pieces for $2... sold them for $.50 cents each. Damn I was good. Black cherry and blue raspberry went for $.75/each because more kids wanted them. It wasn't long after that I got shut down but I was pulling close to $70/week off those kids whose parents wouldn't buy them candy but they were sugar fiends. Suckas.

A few less glorious jobs that Ive held include selling homemade cookies, refereeing soccer games, working for Hostway Corp, and now I'm currently working for GE Corporate at their headquarters in CT. And obviously my site is my main business and Ive gotten more experience from running that than the other jobs, except the first two :)

pizza delivery technician
tile layer
drafter for structural engineer
engineers assistant for a telecom firm
frame estimator to senior estimator (same company)

Shit, I can't remember all the jobs that I've had. It's a super long list.
I'm a former New Yorker, and we start young. I use to have a paper route at the age of 7. That type of shit wouldn't happen now, because they would kidnap the kid. By the age of 10 I had a bunch of 7, 8 and 9 year olds working for me. It was kind of like the mob. I got everyone a job and they would kick up some coin to me. Now that I look at it, we were legal thugs. God forbid, if you didn't pay one of my guys. We would terrorize your property. We shoved snow in the winter. That was another racket.

But in the end, as you could imagine, I'm not a take orders kind of guy. So I've gone through my list of jobs. But there is nothing like working for yourself. This is really an illusion because I really work to pay taxes (income, property, etc), mortgages, car payments, kids colleges, and the list goes on.

To make a short story short, you sure as hell better love what your doing. Because if you don't, life would be like shoveling shit and being allergic to it.
