I can kind of do without the "your account needs funds" email every day

You can disable those. Head to "manage account" > "email notifications"

Anybody getting ads constantly declined for "Landing Page: Landing page does not work or is non-compliant (Check redirects in all countries we serve traffic in)" even though the urls work and pages are compliant?

I am constantly getting my ads declined only to resubmit and they get accepted later.

I have went back and forth with Ben a lot and keep getting told it is on my end, but this only happens with POF not any other network I advertise on. When I check urls they all work and are for sure compliant. My stats are normal so I am not losing visitors and I have even went so far to check form multiple different IP's all over whatever counties I am targeting.

It is like certain reviewers are breaking the urls somehow when they review them, perhaps old browsers, proxies etc.

I am using the newest version of prosper202 and this only ever happens on POF.

Hmm... email me details and I'll look into it? ben@pof.com

Yeah, I would, but I'm using a lander, with google website optimizer, which is slow enough as it is, without another php script to pass through subids. :(

I just tried that, but I couldn't see anything like that under run report, and there wasn't anything with that name. :S

Btw, Ben, how much would you say, on average, each extra narrowing down on the ads adds to CPM cost? I'm not talking about the major categories, like gender, location, age, etc, more like intent, eye colour etc.

$0.10-0.20 depending on how much the demo gets narrowed down?

I always recommend AT MINIMUM: geo, age, gender then +2 more to make it someone nichey (not counting things like marital status = single or ethnicity = Caucasian b/c most people are these demos).

Then run traffic, use conversion pixel and once you get enough conversions, start excluding demographics based on the conversion report (under "Cross tab report") in your campaign.

And for those who've never seen a conversion report, check this sweet piece of data out:
181789_196188590409853_100000561400452_663620_1629040_n.jpg

(This is a newer conversion report so that's why it's got low %'s but the more data you get, the higher these #s will go)

It's better to be exclusive than inclusive (according to Markus) so exclude demographics that don't have a good conversion rate to trim the fat off your campaigns.

bro one problem i've observed w/ conversion breakdown - the lowest converting demographics often have the highest CTR. so in reality, i cut the lowest 5-7 targetting criteria to optimize, and my eCPM is actually the same as before. you can remedy this by giving us both CTR and CVR, or just eCPM instead, for each factor.

just a thought

before: 0.6% CTR, 0.9 EPC, 5.4 eCPM

after cutting these demographics: 0.2% CTR, 2.7 EPC, 5.4 eCPM

so we got nowhere

I believe. I have always wondered why everytime I start to exclude low conversion demo's I dont get any additional boost in profit at the end of the day. I bet you the same thing is happening.

For SURE, we need to see the whole picture.

Also doesnt help that for some demos the amount of duplicate clicks can hit up to around 50%.

Are you raising CPM's every time you cut down? Otherwise, you might just be getting outbid. Generally, any time you tighten up the demo, you should also raise your CPM. Please let me know if you'd like me to explain this one further and I'll be happy to.

Also, raise CPM's after work.. so 5pm EST. This is when people have time to sit on the comp to browse POF and they're a lot more willing to whip out the credit card in the comfort of their own home vs. a lunch break at work. If you've noticed a decline in the evening, chances are you're getting outbid.

And a good portion of those are affiliates clicking other affiliates ads.

I'm pretty sure this happens too so less focus on CTR and more focus on what's actually making you money.

Ben...when choosing cpm's for a specific targeting, is it a good bid indicator if i can see my ads on the first 5pages? Or it doesn't really mean that every other member will see them in similar order?

I remember you once said that if you raise your cpm but it doesn't give you more impressions, you're probably overbidding...Lets say i bid 0.65$ & then 0.75$ but i don't see a difference in impressions quantity, tough my ctr's are better at 0.75...It would mean that i got a better placement for my ads for the same amount of impressions, right?

Right. Use session depth targeting so you know exactly where your ads are being placed during a user's experience :)

Hmmm PoF glitch anyone? 1 of my campaigns just got like half a day worth of impressions in a couple minutes! It's a slow impression receiver(smaller demo), very surprising!
