Our traffic has plunged a lot in the last 20 days, starting sunday there will be a massive spike and we will have 20% more pageviews than our all time high. Its seasonal and happens every year. Conversions for all dating and dieting offers will go through the roof. Dating offers tend to go convert 30 to 40% higher than normal till valentines day. So get ready.

eh? would depend on your targeting, look at adwords - it's still profitable for many people. bit of a volume difference though. bids will go up, but it's not like you'll see $9 clicks
adwords they reword you with lower bids if you attain high CTR

good luck when the bids start hitting $1

As more affiliates pour in, bids are going to keep increasing and increasing until everything becomes unprofitable.

And so will come in the asshat marketerds to ruin things.. I've already seen one of my ads get ripped off word for word including the image.

Mark - I'll send you over the details.

theres nothing like waking up before xmas and getting hit out of the blue with 10k+ in charges from POF.

wtf?

the charges looked like they were coming out daily and out of the blue they hit you with a TON of charges?

like i'm supposed to micro manage my bank account to see which charges are pending and which went through?

cmon.

Thats a horrible way to do business.

anyone else get hit with a ton of charges out of the blue?

Did you bother reading any of the previous posts or even check your email?

They sent out this email yesterday

We have encountered an issue with “funds replenishment” feature in our new ad server; whenever you added funds to your account, whether personally or through “auto-replenishment” feature, the charge was “authorized”, in other words, “reserved” on your credit card, but not actually settled.

We have caught this error, and have settled all of the transactions. You will see charges come through from Plentyoffish which you have not recently added to your account – these charges can go back as far as mid November. To cross-reference these charges, please go to https://ads.pof.com/ and click on "Manage Funding" to view previous transactions.

hold up there cowboy... I got the email HOURS AFTER they dinged me almost 10k in charges, and thats supposed to be ok?

oh and theres no support number, no email. nothing.

if i did this to my customers i'd be outta business. And rightfully so. I'd have chargebacks up the wazoo.

hows this different?

when you're running a business thats based on cashflow getting hit with that (out of the blue i might add) messes everything up. its just wrong.

how am i supposed to account day to day with this if i'm not aware?

did they send an email notifying me BEFORE? no

Did they tell me this when i signed up? no

the funds show daily as pending in your bank account.

you THINK they're being processed.

you have funds coming in and going out of your account daily so you have no idea what is what.

then all of a sudden you get dinged.

no call, no email.... nothing.

thats gotta be the worst way to do business.

I didn't agree to get billed like that when i signed up.

if that was the case i wouldn't have use the system.

Like he said, it was an error that has been fixed. They didn't know about it when you signed up.

Also, BETA.

I can't cancel (delete) campaigns. Can you add the ability to duplicate campaigns? So I can, for example, test the same campaign seperately for over 30's/under 30's.

Ads being reviewed any time soon?

With as much money that's being sunk into POF adverts, there is no fucking reason the issues that exist, should be existing... Just saying, looks like we're getting fleeced, even if we're making money, we're not getting the sort of infrastructure we should be getting.

+1

These 15 pages are filled with complaints, issues, bugs, and shit not working right. People are spending their own cash to help PoF get this system running with little ($100 free credit in the beginning) back in return.
