There's probably more people advertising...But paying near 0.80-0.90$ for traffic that was at least 0.20$ cheaper not so long ago & paying in the low 0.70cents for quite general US traffic is a bit far from the 0.50$ Ben told us...
Ben can't really tell you what to bid, he can really only provide ranges. A year ago today, bidding $.30 was overkill. More competition means fewer impressions to go around which translates into higher bids if you want traffic. Just the nature of any advertising platform as its popularity increases. They need to stop going to trade shows and just show love to who they've got.

that's for sure. But what would be better is a real max bid...So just like FB, what we'd bid wouldn't be what we pay but decides on who will be shown in the first few pages! I also still think the bid estimator is a good idea cause there's no real good way of knowing if 5cents will make a difference with more targeting criteria added...
Not sure if this was covered in the past 40 pages, but how come all conversions don't show up on a campaign's cross tab report?
Tier your bids by log-in count bro, use banner inventory to maximize on traffic to whatever demographic is banking for you, think international traffic as well..
We only record conversions where we can record it 100% so if 2 people are on the same comp but only 1 convert, we're unsure which one did so we don't track it at all. The conversion report is meant to be a guide, not verbatim. Super helpful tool but if you're trying to figure out if you're getting paid for all your sales/leads generated, always use a 3rd party tracker.

I'm curious how much traffic you can get on pof really. Is there enough impressions and users online at any one time to sustain the massive amounts of advertising? I haven't done pof, I'm just concerned about scalability on the platform. I know I can scale off the platform, but how much volume can you expect to get on pof these days?

Im a big fan of POF. Even tho they are huge they still take the time to answer all your questions and give you the attention you need doesn't matter if you are big or small fish on the platform.
I highly recommend you trying them out. And Ben is always there to answer your questions, so the support is great.

I understand what you're saying, however, the conversions are all recorded, just not shown on the cross tabs.
Let me give you an example. I have a campaign with 10 conversions showing on POF's dashboard/main page. But when I go into the campaign only 4 of those conversions are shown on the cross tab reports. Is that normal?
Ahh gotcha. I'll have to email our team to look into the inconsistencies w/ the conversions on the dashboard vs. conversions on the cross tab reports
