Poker Q&A Thread

That, good sir, is absolutely brilliant.

Falian, FullTilt or PokerStars?

I have the same question. Which do you suggest, Falian?

In my opinion, PokerStars outshines Fulltilts in every aspect except high-stakes cash games (but that only affects a select few poker players. PokerStars has bigger tournaments, a bigger fanbase, better customer support, etc. But then again that's my opinion.

Do you believe those online poker sites are rigged/flawed ?

For example
Winning percentage for JJ/QQ vs AK is around 56% vs 42%, however, it doesn't really seem that way when I play online poker.

I lost about 10 times today with pocket pair vs AK and won maybe once, it is gay

No, I do not believe online poker sites rig their games. It's called variance and it sucks, but you have to deal with it.

Think of how many times you would need to experience JJ/QQ vs AK for the actual hand win % to match your hand win %.

You can flip a coin and get heads 88 times in a row but tails still has a 50% chance the next flip.

do people actually pay you to coach them? no offense, but i made about 70k a year the last three years playing poker, and i would much rather spend it on cardrunners.com or pokerxfactor.com, than get 3 hours training from you.

My client base isn't people who make 70k a year.

i used to work for bodog poker - fraud investigation - and no this shit isn't rigged. if it was they'd never be able to sustain their business.

i interviewed at fulltilt once upon a time though - what a fucking dump.

Yea the closest that sites will ever come to rigging is the AB/UB situations, where someone gives themselves "god mode".

But it's only worth the risk if you play at the nosebleeds.. so it's funny that people worry about this at the micros.

If anyone is looking for a super +EV tourney then check out the micro 4-max 1000 cap tourneys on Poker Stars.

They are incredibly soft, but incredibly tilting.
