Positionly SERP Checker Sucks.

Had high hopes for Positionly and their SERP checking service, but there's a lot of issues even though it looks awesome: (https://positionly.com/)

1. They don't show past the top 100.

2. Advertise Bing/G/Yahoo? Only seeing results for Google.

3. Pricing is way too high. $50 for 250 keywords.

4. Every day, all my keywords go to >100. Zero data. Clearly bugs. My biggest gripe/why I left.

5. They make it hard to cancel. FAQ = "You can cancel, etc." BRB no instructions on how to do it. (Subscription page = no way to cancel). Only way I figured it out was to actually delete the entire account! Nice lose all my data in the process, thanks!

6. Other minor features which I won't get into don't work.

All in all disappointing, want WF to be aware. They don't offer refunds either.. So just a heads up.. I took the plunge and subscribed for $49, no big deal wanted to test it out, but meh..

I'll be sticking with Serpfox.

Hi,

I'm happy to hear that you were interested in using our tool. Let me clarify some of your issues:

1. Will you go through more than 10 of the search pages? And your potential customers? Of course, some of you may want to track positions above 100 results, but keep in mind that the results above this number are more random, uncertain, and more likely to be inaccurate.

2. We’re supporting Google, Yahoo, Bing and Yandex. If If your website isn't in the first 100 results, a - sign will appear in place of the position value. That’s the only possibility for “no results” in that case.

3. Have you asked for any discount? We’re also offering custom plans and prices and really nice discounts for long term users.

4. Could you give me some examples of the keywords that you used for which websites and search engines that came out incorrect? Have you contacted our support?

5. If you want to delete your account, select ‘Settings’ from the top right corner menu, and switch into the ‘Account’ section. Then choose ‘Delete my account’ on the right. It’s really evident I guess, but you’re right we should add it to our FAQ.

I would like to help, just give me a chance to renew your trial and clarify everything. Please contact support[at]positionly.com.

I actually like the fact that illyas sees all my data. It makes me feel warm and cosy that a fellow broseph can see just how awesome I am while he remains tight-lipped to the WF community. ;)

(edit: I'm sure he really does study all the KW data running through... really he does...

I've been using positionly for a bit as well. It started out great but now it's a mess.

1) Interface randomly changes to what I assume is polish whenever the fuck it feels like. I'm not polish so this is fucking annoying.

2) The alerts at the top right when clicked makes you login again. every. single. time. That is pretty annoying when you have 6-7 Alerts from different websites.

3) Keyword tracking is not accurate and the data for bing and yahoo especially seems to be less than stellar.

I'd love positionly's design with myseotool's functionality.

Hi,

1. Can you tell when the problem occurs - in application or on home page? Language you specified during the sign up, should stay and never switch.

2.It could be a cache issue. Clearing cache/cookies should help

3. Rankings aren't the same eveyrtime. The fluctations in Google through last 60 days were quite high due to algorithm updates and it was visible in our charts.

4. Yep. We addressed that issue two weeks ago. We're working on it and the data should be accurate again soon.

Thanks for feedback!

Who the fuck needs to know where their keywords are at past the 10th page?

I for one need that data, that's the easiest way to test the algo, pick on terms that do not matter much that are down under the 100 mark. Play with those in any testing, if they go up then you are on to something, if they drop, who gives a shit... free testing ground down deep.

I use serpfox as it seems to give "good enough" results for my testing.

Oh also. I apparently have an aff link for Positionly somewhere on one of my sites. People signed up and I had money I didn't know about stacking up every month. Positionly contacted me after a couple months to let me know I had money sitting there. I made a withdrawal request and.....

it has been nearly 2 months and they have not paid me. What a joke.

Keyword sitting at #873 today, better go hit up BST and bump it to #870. Oh shit, just got hit with -10 penalty a couple hours later, gonna try switching out affiliate links and other random shit to see if that gets me back to #873.

seo'ers gonna seo

Nigga, you doing it wrong.
