I like your taskbar setup, I may actually try this. Never even thought about positioning it like that, but I think for the things I do, will increase productivity a bit. Awesome!

I much prefer it like that, it's less obtrusive and the open tasks stack up nicely and are easy to read. I also add "My Computer" to it (second from the bottom) so I have access to all my drives and my documents right there as well. I've converted many a coworker and friend to doing it this way. I've been doing it like that for years, and I guess it takes some getting used to, but once you do there's no going back.

I do the same but for me it's on the left.

You guys know you can add bookmarks to Windows Explorer? (I'm talking the file browser, not Internet Exploer) I have all my drives and important network shares added there, so I just open Explorer, then go to Favorites and everything I need is there. I usually have several Explorer windows open all the time, so I just go to one and use the Favorites menu when I need to do something. I could use a good four-pane file explorer for copying files, though; maybe with bookmarks that track both panes.. that would be sweet.

Yes, that's a good point. It doesn't really help if you don't have any Explorer windows open, which most of the time I do not. Often it's just my Adobe suite apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Bridge), and Filezilla that are open. I also don't have that complex a file structure, all my work resides at the root level of one main drive in subfolders and is backed up at the root level of a second, so all I have to do is hit that drive icon in the bottom corner of the screen and there's all my work if I'm not just opening files through the open file dialogue in one of the apps or through Bridge.
 
@ nvanprooyen what's that dock? i'm using rocket dock,wondering if your's is better.
